From the heaping failure of Redfall, to the disapointing release of Need for Speed unbound, to the unfair shutdown of The Crew, what is going on with the gaming industry?

The first, and the most obvious factor we can blame, is COVID-19. To put it quite simply, it was like the "gold rush" for the gaming industry. Everyone was pumping out games left and right and everyone just bought them up. But remember, this was during covid when everyone was bored, so everyone was just itching for someone new. And now, we're in 2024 and these game devs are still keeping the same habits from nearly 4 1/2 years ago.

The thing is, as bad as these games are, for whatever reason keep buying them in hopes it's going to be "better than the last". This is why corporations are still making the big bucks off of these games. According to this article, Redfall only sold 70,000 copies, only making them around $4 million. So why are corporations still puming out garbage games, even if they're still seeing the losses?

Well, using the mobile game philosphy, Money!

What can we do about garbage game devs pumping out garbage games? Simple, just don't buy them! It's not hard at all to save your money from low quality games! It doesn't hurt to return to games from a few years prior, or better yet play some Indie games!

I think that with all the money companies like bethesda and EA have, plus an allowance from Microsoft, game developers should be able to make better games.
